Town of Marcellus Highway Department – Salt Conservation Efforts
Due to a regional supply shortage, the Town of Marcellus Highway Department is currently experiencing limited availability of road salt. To ensure that essential roadways remain as safe as possible throughout the winter season, the department must immediately implement salt conservation measures.
The Highway Department encourages all residents to use caution while traveling during winter weather events. Please allow extra time for travel, maintain safe driving distances, and adjust speeds according to road conditions.
We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work to manage this shortage responsibly while continuing to provide essential winter road maintenance.
