Senior Citizens

The Parks & Recreation Department plays an active role for senior citizens in the community.

The Town of Marcellus Parks and Recreation is now set up to take registrations and payments on line. You can register on line and then pay either on line or in person. Please note that a 2.9% convenience fee will be added when paying by credit card.

We currently have a Zoom class that is open for registration on line.

Chair Yoga

Open to Adults of all ages and fitness levels

Join certified yoga instructor, Diane Zarzecki as you enjoy the benefits of yoga right from your chair! Learn simple movements that gently exercise each part of the body, including our breathing. These seated exercises build strength and flexibility so we become more mobile and confident. We also work on balance, standing and using the chair as a steady support.

Classes renew every 8 weeks. For more information call the Recreation office at (315) 673-3269 ext 2.

One-Day Trips

During the year, the Town of Marcellus sponsors One-Day Trips for senior citizens 60 years old & over. Trip information is available by calling the Recreation Office at 673-3269 ext. 2. Most trips are planned from June–November. We offer several day trips during the summer and fall that often involve a theatre or musical show, museum or historical tours, and boat cruises throughout picturesque landscapes.

And our trips ALWAYS include a delicious meal!
